The W Series racers will wrap up their championship on October 31 at the GP of Mexico.

The first six rounds of the W Series for women will be held in the DTM support program at St. Petersburg (RUS), Anderstorp (S), Monza, Norisring, Brands Hatch and Assen.

New are two final races in the fall, each on Saturday at Formula 1 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin and at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. There is no question that the excitement about the women's races will be rather greater in the USA and Mexico than in Europe.

Only the Ländle is represented
As sixth in the previous year, Fabienne Wohlwend was automatically qualified for the second season. The twelve best from 2019 are joined by six newcomers, but none from Switzerland, Germany or Austria. The 22-year-old Liechtensteiner will thus again be the only German-speaker in the exclusive field.

She is especially looking forward to her first appearances at Formula 1.

Fabienne Wohlwend: "I see this as a huge success for the W Series, when we are allowed to start with the top class already in the second year. It's also a mega chance for us female drivers to be able to present ourselves in front of an international audience."

It goes without saying that she wants to fight for the title and the $500,000 prize money for the winner in the second year.

23rd birthday highlight
For the neo-pro driver, 2020 will probably be the most strenuous but also the most exciting racing season of her career to date, she believes. She will continue to compete in the Ferrari Challenge Europe with Team Octane126. Here, too, she has great ambitions.

Fabienne Wohlwend: "A big advantage this year is that there are no overlapping dates. That's why I can compete for the championship in both racing series. Here, the absolute highlight is the world final in Abu Dhabi on my 23rd birthday..."

Start in two championships - Fabienne Wohlwend is looking forward to an exciting racing season.
