The unique Nordschleife championship will go full throttle from next year under the name "Nürburgring Endurance Series". The organization behind it will remain - also nominally - the VLN. The brand image will be changed step by step at the start of the new season.

Strengthening the Nürburgring name
The new series logo includes the original word mark "Nürburgring". The visualization contains the world-famous "Caracciola-Karussell" track section as a central element and also clearly borrows from the traditional VLN logo.

Christian Stephani, Managing Director of VLN VV GmbH & Co. KG: "According to market research, the Nürburgring is familiar to 95 percent of the population in Germany and is a very strong brand that only we will be able to use in our name in this form in the future. This strengthens our status as the only genuine Nürburgring series that holds its races exclusively in the Green Hell. With the word mark Nürburgring in the logo, the sporting home of the racing series is recognizable at first glance."

For almost 43 years
The series was founded in 1977 as the Nürburgring Endurance Cup and has been organized by the VLN (Veranstalter-Gemeinschaft Nürburgring) ever since. For fans and participants, the new brand image is an important message that the virtues of the endurance championship are being upheld. According to Christian Stephani, it should be a great help, especially in marketing the series.

The first two rounds of the 2020 Nürburgring Endurance Series are already scheduled for March 21 and April 4.
