Fiat Tipo TCR: It remains to be seen whether the touring car from Italy will also attract interest in Switzerland.

The Fiat Tipo TCR was developed by Tecnodom Sport S.p.A., which entered an Alfa Romeo Mito in the 1400cc class of the Italian Touring Car Championship in 2016.

In the 2017 TCR Italy, they won three races with an Opel Astra. Now the team is switching to a domestic brand.

Engine from Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR
The car was designed and constructed at Tecnodom Sport under the direction of engineer Roberto Zampieri, Abarth's chief test driver. The power source is the 1.75-liter turbocharged engine already used in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR.

An engine with an increased displacement of two liters will follow in due course. Power is transmitted via a sequential 6-speed transmission from Sadev.

Invitation to interested parties
The new car is currently being tested by the racing sons of team boss Domiziano Giacon, Kevin and Jonathan Giacon. According to Giacon, there are initial inquiries from Turkey and South America.

Interested teams and private drivers will be invited to an event at the Adria Raceway where they will be able to test the new touring car according to TCR regulations (front-wheel drive cars with turbo engines up to max. 2000 cc).
