The spectators can once again look forward to two days of beautiful motorsport. It is not only about best times.

Since the beginning of March, interested drivers have been able to register via the online platform go4race.ch to register for the Auto-Renntage Frauenfeld 2020. The registration deadline is March 30 at midnight. The number of participants over both days is limited to 360.

Again a longer course
The competitors can look forward to the event: As in 2014 to 2016, the course with 49 gates will be extended by 500 meters to around 3.2 kilometers in the finish area. The fast start straight and the infield on the Grosse Allmend, which is popular with spectators, will remain unchanged.

Approval is (still) available
The organizing ACS Thurgau is closely monitoring the current situation due to the spread of the coronavirus and the measures taken for this reason. Currently, all permits are available. The preparations are therefore running as usual at full speed, but the OC is concerned and therefore constantly reassesses the situation

Premiere of the Swiss Legends Slalom Cup
The event is scheduled as the second round of the Swiss Slalom Championship. In addition, points are at stake for the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup, the Abarth Trofeo Slalom, the Porsche Slalom Cup, the Porsche Drivers Challenge and the Lotus V6 Cup Suisse.

For the first time, the cute Swiss Legends Cars will also be at the start. The Grosse Allmend in Frauenfeld is the only venue in German-speaking Switzerland for this slalom cup newly approved by Auto Sport Schweiz. The cars, which are manufactured in the USA, are based on American stock cars from the 1930s. They are powered by three-cylinder four-stroke engines from Yamaha.

Last year, Urs Böhlen drove his Legends Car with the racing cars for training purposes. Now these little cars are competing for their own Cup (photos: Peter Wyss).

Vintage cars at the start too
Due to the numerous positive feedbacks after last year's premiere, a regularity test for historic vehicles will again take place within the framework of Saturday's LOC event. The aim is not to achieve the best time, but to keep the difference between the two running times as small as possible.

Provided the event goes ahead as planned, the public can look forward to some beautiful, nippy classic cars and first-class motorsport on both days.
