Almost 200 guests from national and international racing, led by "Coverboy" Nico Müller, accepted publisher Edi Engelberger's invitation to the vernissage of the RENNSPORT SCHWEIZ 2019 yearbook at the Eventcenter Seelisberg on Thursday evening. Already for the 26th time it is published by Aktiv-Verlag in Stans.

Founder and first long-time author until 2016 is the former racing driver and journalist Stefan Lüscher. Despite an incurable illness, he and his wife Philomène still actively take care of the acquisition and care of advertisers, without whose support the uninterrupted publication of this unique yearbook series could not be realized.

Bound expertise
In 2016, Lüscher's decades-long colleague and current AutoSprintCH editor Peter Wyss took over the reins and editorial responsibility. As since its beginnings in 1984, the focus is on the national automobile championships in slalom, hillclimb and rallying. All one-make cups (Abarth, Lotus, Porsche and Suzuki) are also covered. Several chapters are also devoted to karting and motorcycle racing.

Anyone who likes Swiss motor racing will be spoiled with plenty of reading material and pictures in the yearbook.

Review of international successes
International focal points of the 2019 edition are the DTM with Nico Müller's path to the runner-up title, Formula E with the Swiss E-Prix Bern and the season of runner-up Sébastien Buemi, the World Endurance Championship with Buemi's title win and his second triumph with Toyota at Le Mans, GT racing with Patric Niederhauser's overall victories in the ADAC GT Masters and Emil Frey Racing in the International GT Open, touring car racing with the victories of Swiss teams and drivers in the 24H Series, and the performance of the best motorcycle drivers.

All results and championship tables
The yearbook, elaborately produced with great attention to detail, not only offers plenty of richly illustrated reading material in 34 chapters, but also serves as a valuable reference work thanks to its comprehensive statistics section with the results, final tables and final standings of all national championships (automobile, motorcycle and karting).

Without them, the Yearbook would not exist: Peter Wyss, Stefan Lüscher and Edi Engelberger. They are looking forward to a successful 2019 edition.

Ideal gift for fans and collectors
The RENNSPORT SCHWEIZ 2019 yearbook comprises 356 pages thread-bound in 21 x 26 cm format with around 700 photos and hardcover. The price is 65 francs plus 9 francs for postage and packaging.
