Take a 90-minute break from the currently extraordinary daily routine: The Porsche documentary "Endurance" presents the background, challenges and tireless efforts in impressive images.

The world's biggest endurance races for GT cars within eight days - Porsche Motorsport has set itself this special challenge together with its customer teams in the 2019 season. The 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 15/16, 2019, and the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife just one week later meant a strain for some drivers, engineers and team management that rarely exists in this compressed form.

Award winning director
British director James Routh, known for the multi-award-winning Formula 1 documentary series "Drive to Survive," accompanied the team, technicians, and drivers over a total of 25 days. From preparations for Le Mans during test drives in Italy to a private test day following the endurance run in the Eifel, Porsche provides impressive glimpses behind the scenes.

Authentic impressions
The spectacular driving scenes are enriched by authentic impressions from Pascal Zurlinden, the overall project manager for factory motorsport. The works drivers Kévin Estre (France), Michael Christensen (Denmark), Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) and Matt Campbell (Australia) allow viewers to experience the special tension in the biggest competitions of the year at first hand. Experienced race engineer Luca Massé (Italy) also offers a view from the challenging everyday life of a race engineer at Porsche.

People and machines
The documentary "Endurance" presents in extraordinary form what endurance motorsport really means: deprivation, strain, emotion, and the boundless dedication and passion of everyone involved. The focus is not only on the vehicles-in this case, the Porsche 911 RSR and the 911 GT3 R. It is also on the people. The focus is at least as much on the people. Dealing with pressure situations and sporting misfortune on the race track is shown just as unfiltered and realistically as that of a young racing driver's family with the issues of danger and life at the limit.

24-hour races are team sports like no other discipline. This is impressively shown in the Porsche film.
