The big motor sport spectacle with historic machines will take place on the second weekend in August.

Original route of the historic race

The national motorcycle mountain races Küssnacht-Seebodenalp were considered in the 20s and 30s of the last century as one of the most important events in national motorcycle racing. A few old-timer friends then revived this mountain race a few years ago. With success, as the many participants and the large audience prove.

More and more drivers also come from abroad near the border. The mountain race is held on the original route of the historic race. The start is in the village of Küssnacht, the finish on Seebodenalp. The more than five-kilometer-long course has an average gradient of 13 percent - a real challenge for man and machine.

Motorcycles from the period 1920 to 1976

The historic motorcycles, sidecars and racing tricycles guarantee spectacle. Motorcycles from the period 1920 to 1976 will be competing in various categories. A handful of exquisite cars are used as escort and support vehicles and can be seen at the start or in the paddock.

On Friday, August 11, the paddock will be moved into and the vehicles will be inspected on Seebodenalp. On Saturday, the inspection and training runs will start, as well as the big classic car festival, and on Sunday, the historic motorcycles will compete in two evaluation runs.

Edgar Gwerder from the organizing club: "With this race we want to offer owners of vintage motorcycles the opportunity to ride their machines under competitive conditions".
