Unlike last year's 24-hour race and the qualifying race a few weeks ago with the Swiss Octane126 Ferrari as one of the GT3 pacesetters, the big grandstands will no longer remain empty (photo: Group C).

This is the result of an intensive coordination and planning phase between the organizing ADAC Nordrhein and the Nürburgring. The official approval by the authorities is to follow in the next few days after final details have been clarified and the necessary approval has been granted by the Ministry of Health.

Personalized tickets
As part of a model project of the state for outdoor events, personalized, seat-accurate tickets are available via the Nürburgring homepage (here the direct link) available.

The spectator concept, which was developed with scientific support, provides for up to 50 percent of the respective grandstand capacity to be used. For the 24-hour race, this applies to the open BMW M Power grandstand (T3), the Bilstein grandstand (T4), Mercedes grandstand (4a) and grandstand 12a.

The spectators sit together in pairs at most. The two seats next to, in front of and behind the occupied seats are free in each case.

Finally, spectators in the grandstands again, as could be the case in August 2020 at the Oldtimer Grand Prix. For the 24h race, the Nürburgring model project can start with up to 10,000 spectators.

Only with anti-corona detection
The measures are strictly limited and oriented to the still prevailing pandemic conditions. Only those who have been tested, recovered and vaccinated will be admitted. A professionally performed rapid test may be no more than 24 hours old before entry to the event site, a PCR test no more than 48 hours.

In addition, masks are compulsory on the Nürburgring site and in the seats. Each open grandstand also has its own assigned parking space on site with its own routing.

The qualifying race gave a foretaste of the marathon in early June, which fans will at least be able to watch live from the grandstands.
