24H Nürburgring: Lots of action on the Internet

REPLACEMENT PROGRAM Actually, the Nürburgring would be more crowded these days than on any other weekend. As a consolation for fans of the 24H race, which has been postponed to September, there are two special online shows. The organizers are putting the weekend under the motto "24h Rewind." Things will remain quiet under the Nürburg this weekend. Nürburgring fans hope that they will then be able to watch the 24-hour race, which has been postponed to September 24-27, live at the Nordschleife (Photo: Gruppe C Photography).

The organizers are putting the weekend under the motto "24h Rewind". So they are rewinding to the coolest scenes and the best action. Parallel to the stream on the official  24h YouTube channel there will be a charity marathon broadcast live.

Selection from 19 years
As a replacement for the postponed race, the Youtube channel of the 24h race brings lots of highlights from the editions since 2001. Among other things, almost 1,000 minutes of highlight films have been compiled for this purpose, which will be shown chronologically from the scheduled race start (Saturday, May 23 at 3:30 p.m.) and offer the best action and the most exciting scenes of the respective years.

As the broadcast marathon draws to a close, there will also be the spectacular and emotional film "Chameleon" by Jan Birkenstock as well as the hottest final racing hours of the past four races. This promises another one-and-a-half to two-and-a-half particularly action-packed hours each time.

Parallel live broadcast...
A little earlier than the official 24-hour streaming, marketing partner Sporttotal is launching a live marathon broadcast for a good cause. Eve Scheer and Patrick Simon go on air from 2 p.m. for 25.378 hours (that's how many kilometers the complete Nürburgring measures). They present celebrity guests, music, live broadcasts to the Nürburgring and much more.

... exceptionally also to be seen in Switzerland
The program is broadcast on the channel #DABEI, which can be received by Magenta TV customers via the receiver. Thereby-tv.com is normally geo-blocked and can therefore only be received in Germany. For the 24-hour broadcast, however, this blocking will be lifted, so the broadcast marathon should be available internationally. Until then, an error message will appear.

For a good cause
One special feature is that the show calls for donations for a good cause. In addition, there will be virtual racing, which will also provide further action-packed scenes. The proceeds will go to the Nürburgring Marshal Club - the track marshals who actually ensure safety and fairness at the Ring during the weekend.
