RESTOMOD In the second Porsche 911 derivative Ferdinand, the Swiss tuning company Sportec has implemented many further developments. A special feature is the classic interior with a coordinated choice of materials and colors.

The Ferdinand II, which is optimally tailored to customer requirements, has the status of a new car.

The Backdate restomod series founded by Sportec Classic continues to gather momentum - especially in the form of the Ferdinand model. Further refined and modified, the Zurich-based classic department has now delivered "Ferdinand the Second" based on the Porsche 911 964 series to the next customer.

Just over a year ago, Sportec Classic presented its masterpiece of the Backdate Restomod series at Auto Zürich - the Ferdinand. This marked another milestone in the company's history and caused quite a stir.

Sportec CEO Gregor Burkard: "With Ferdinand, we have set the bar extremely high in the classic segment. Our second model, which is now ready for customer delivery, proves that each model can hardly be surpassed in terms of exclusivity."

Individuality takes center stage

Sportec has taken the elegant rebirth of the Porsche 964 to a special level with selected ingredients. The side skirts integrated into the body are particularly noteworthy. In contrast, the ducktail rear of the Ferdinand II is somewhat more discreet. Visual details such as light and headlight rings, ventilation grille, engine and exhaust trims in a matt chrome finish underline the attention to detail. The tank filler neck has been moved to the front left mudguard on the second edition. And so that the oil does not have to be laboriously refilled under the hood, the filler neck has been placed on the rear right fender of this model. Both covers are made of aluminum in the classic Sportec design.

The specialists from the Sportec Classic department installed Sportec seats in an elegant fabric and leather combination. The in-house designed aluminum switches and rotary knobs as well as the inductive charging station for the smartphone are also characteristic.

3.8-liter heart with 325 hp and 394 Nm

A 3.8-liter engine with 325 hp and 394 Nm still beats beneath the rear end of the car, which weighs just 1190 kilograms. Thanks to the sports clutch and the shorter shift travel of the 6-speed gearbox, sportiness is not neglected. This is accompanied by a suspension set-up suitable for everyday use with the Sportec coilover suspension with variable lowering from 10 to 30 millimetres.
