Saurer Museum: Welcome to Lake Constance

Saurer and Berna commercial vehicles, military vehicles, post buses and fire engines are on display in the Saurer factory hall.

In the textile department you can see embroidery and weaving machines and their end products. 150 years of world-class technology from Eastern Switzerland in three sectors.

A large collection of engines completes the exhibition.

Opening of the museum and depot
The newly opened depot has also been open to visitors since April 2018. Here you can see many more exciting objects, barn finds, engines, everything to discover for yourself (please see the gallery).

Museum director Dr. Rudolf Baer: "We have survived the lockdown well. The hole in the cash register is large, but not threatening. Both the Museum am See and the depot in the WerkZwei pressing plant can be visited again. We have drawn up a protection and hygiene concept. The health and safety of visitors and employees are our top priority."

Tickets are available directly from the museum
Tickets for the museum are available directly from the museum, for the depot from the Kaffi Kölbener and Art of Optics sales outlets in Hamel and from the Presswerk restaurant.
