When the summer holiday season is over and the roads are clear again in the south of France, it is even more beautiful to enjoy the ride in a classic car. The days are long and warm, but there is no longer much heat.
Just drive and experience a rally in the company of like-minded people. The organization of the RAID has 31 years of experience in the organization of classic car rallies. A perfect organization can be expected.
Ardèche department in the program for the first time
On Saturday, September 18, the start is in Yverdon-les-Bains at the Grand Hôtel (picture left), then the route leads through the Swiss and French Jura to the surroundings of Lyon. A few kilometers outside the city, the new Hotel Kyriad Prestige Lyon Est (picture right) awaits with welcome drinks and dinner.
One of the premieres of this trip is the Ardèche department with its green hills and great views. High above the gorge runs the road with many viewpoints, castles and ruins - and far below flows the Ardèche.
Sunday's destination is the ancient Roman city of Orange with its triumphal arch and amphitheater. Overnight at the Hotel Mercure Orange Centre.
Soirée with gala dinner and the award ceremony
On Monday we will experience the Grand Canyon du Verdon, one of the largest canyons in Europe. Via the Route Napoleon and through the perfume city of Grasse, the Pullman Hotel in Cannes-Mandelieu is reached. There the festive soirée with gala dinner and award ceremony will take place.
The individual return journey is planned for Tuesday, September 21. The cost of participation is 4580 francs for two people in a double room. The registration deadline is June 30, 2021.
