Friends of sporty vehicles with two, three and four wheels should make a note of the weekend after next. For the fourth time after 2007, 2010 and 2015 the Memorial Hill Climb Steckborn will take place.
More than 280 classic cars and motorcycles are registered for the event on Lake Constance. The race is managed by the Sports Commission of the ACS Thurgau Section.
Single-seater racing cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s contrast with rare and in some cases unique pre-war vehicles. Motorcycles with and without sidecars enliven the scene, which also offers space for luxury sedans of well-known English and American brands driving comfortably in the corso.

Ride in a classic car
Anyone who would like to take a ride in a classic car and experience the driving sensation on the mountain track can take part in the Rent-a-Classic-Drive and be chauffeured in a Jaguar E, a Shelby Cobra or a Mustang. The proceeds will go to a good cause.
The vehicles of the participants are divided into several fields. Although it is not going for best time, those with pure racing vehicles without road registration will really let it rip. To ensure that nothing happens, the organizing committee takes strict safety precautions.

Marcel Fässler in the rally Audi
The most prominent driver is Marcel Fässler. The professional from Schwyz will be driving an Audi Quattro from the former Group 4 of the World Rally Championship. We'll be looking at other gems from the field in next week's Weekend Tip.
On both days, each field will be sent up the mountain two to three times. Dancing will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
