Hyundai Ioniq: The Korean sedan is the world's first newly developed passenger car designed for three alternative drive systems.

Air pollution control, protection of nature from pollutants, noise and climate protection are the environmental impact categories according to which the VCS has been evaluating current passenger cars for over 30 years and annually selects a test winner, the winners by vehicle class and the top ten of all classes. However, progress and innovation in the environmentally relevant development fields of automotive engineering also take place outside the top ten rankings. For healthy air, nature and climate protection, these are just as important or sometimes even more important than the top-ranked models. Since 2012, the Auto-Umweltliste has therefore also presented an award for particularly innovative developments that promise progress in the field of environmental technology. Further information about the candidates and the environmental award can be found on the Internet.
