50,000 career opportunities in the Swiss automotive industry
For the automotive industry, these are 50,000 opportunities to draw attention to the quality of its basic technical training and the wide range of career opportunities. This is only the second time since 2014 that SwissSkills is being held as the central Swiss vocational championship. Originally, the AGVS wanted to send 20 candidates to SwissSkills. But since there were three mechatronics technicians in 20th place with exactly the same number of points, it was spontaneously decided to increase the number.

The WorldSkills 2018 in Kazan goal of the competitors
For the 21 male and female automotive mechatronics technicians, the main thing will be not to let the hustle and bustle at the Bernexpo distract them and throw them off their game. In addition to the national title in the automotive mechatronics, the chance to qualify for the WorldSkills 2018 in Kazan via the Eurocup is also at stake. The three best of the Swiss vocational championships will take part in the Eurocup on December 7, 2018, also in Bern, where the best Swiss male or female will qualify for next year's WorldSkills.
