Subaru Switzerland in Safenwil has been selling cars with all-wheel drive since 1979. As of the end of 2020, the import company has sold more than 356,000 vehicles.
The 4×4 estate pioneer Subaru Legacy Outback from 1996 was soon followed by the second generation, which got rid of the Legacy name suffix and was simply called Outback. Within the Subaru model range, this model occupied a special position because, among other things, it introduced technical innovations such as the Eyesight driver assistance system.

Highlight in the 25-year model history
In the five generations so far, 17,000 customers have opted for the Outback in Switzerland since its launch. The upcoming sixth generation, which will be launched in Switzerland in May, promises to be a highlight in the 25-year model history.

World's only 4×4 crossover with boxer engine
It is already clear that the new Outback will continue to be the world's only large crossover with a boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive. The new model also benefits from the Subaru Global Platform, which provides even more crash safety and increased noise and vibration comfort.
Eyesight and also the X-Mode assistance system have been enriched with further useful elements, with which the Outback once again raises the bar in terms of safety.
