Talent and leadership coach Monika Sattler is a passionate cyclist and extreme athlete who has already completed a number of stages and altitudes. In 2018, she became the first woman to master the Vuelta a España, one of the most difficult stage races in the world.

Now she has set herself a new goal: She wants to be the first person to cross 124 Swiss passes with over 2,000 kilometers of track and 60,000 meters of altitude within 30 days. Škoda Switzerland is supporting the ambitious athlete as a mobility sponsor and is providing her with a support vehicle in the form of the all-electric Enyaq iV.

From Nyon on detours to the destination in Bern
Monika Sattler started on August 12 in Nyon and will finish her challenge on September 6 in Bern. During this time, she wants to go to the limit and gather borderline experience.

Monika had already been in contact with Škoda via We Love Cycling, an online magazine from Škoda in which the car brand focuses on its origins, cycling. An Enyaq iV now accompanies the athlete over the entire route to be available in case of any breakdowns.

Passing is no problem for the Enyaq iV

Markus Kohler, Brand Director Škoda Switzerland: "We are happy to support Monika Sattler in her project because, on the one hand, we have our origins in cycling and, on the other hand, we can offer the ideal vehicle for the Challenge. With the range of the Enyaq iV, the pass crossings are no problem, and the SUV offers the athlete enough space for her equipment."

The Enyaq is charged on the road using the Volton charging card provided by Škoda. Volton offers charging infrastructure and solutions for companies and makes it easier for them to switch to electromobility.
