The first production vehicle from the eGT New Energy Automotive joint venture between the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and Chinese automaker Dongfeng is also the sixth Renault electric model. The partners brought the vehicle to production readiness in six months after presenting the study at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.

Ground clearance and distinctive daytime running lights
Characteristics of the electric vehicle are the ground clearance of 15 centimeters and the striking daytime running lights with LED technology. The Renault City K-ZE has two charging modes and can be charged at public stations as well as using household electricity. In fast mode, the battery can be charged to 80 percent of its capacity in 50 minutes. In slow mode, it takes four hours to fill the battery.

Fine dust sensors control air quality
The new model features an on-board multimedia system with 8-inch touchscreen (20.3 centimeters), Internet 4G, voice recognition, navigation system and real-time control of electric vehicle functions.
In addition, fine dust sensors and an air quality control system in the Renault City K-ZE ensure a pleasant and healthy interior climate. The comfort equipment also includes details such as a rear view camera and tire pressure monitoring.
