First impression: With its passenger cabin, the UX leaves the impression of a two-door coupe. The LED taillight unit running across the entire width of the rear is impressive.

The UX was designed at Toyota's European design center. There, the angular and sharp-edged design language introduced with the Lexus NX was taken up and further refined. The study looks beefy and sporty-elegant at the same time. The strongly flared wheel arches and the massive giant wheels convey a powerful impression. According to Lexus, the progressive look is intended to appeal to an urban audience, similar to that shown by parent company Toyota with the C-HR. There are no pictures of the UX's interior yet, but Lexus promises a combination of traditional craftsmanship with high-tech manufacturing techniques. In addition, the study is said to have extensive connectivity options. There is no information about the engine yet, but a hybrid drive will most likely be used.
