Good for the environment and the wallet: anyone driving around in an electric car in Zurich does not qualify for the premiums. In Ticino, new owners receive a subsidy from the canton.

Under the program, every private buyer of a 100 % electric vehicle in Ticino has received a purchase premium of 2,000 Swiss francs from the canton since June 25, as well as a manufacturer's premium in the same amount. Audi, BMW, Honda, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche and Volkswagen are also showing interest in this cooperation.

Savings of up to 7915 francs with Renault
Owners of a new Renault ZOE, for example, benefit from subsidies of 4000 francs, cumulative with other premiums Renault offers its ZOE customers. In total, ZOE customers can save between 6565 and 7915 francs: 4565 to 5915 francs from Renault, depending on the equipment variant, and 2000 francs from the canton of Ticino.

In addition, they will receive the charging station Wallbox Renault worth 750 francs at no additional cost and another incentive premium from the Canton of Ticino for the installation of the charging station worth 500 francs.

Only for registered new vehicles
In order to receive the subsidies from the canton and the importer, customers must meet the following conditions: New owners must send their application to the cantonal authorities within 30 days of the vehicle's matriculation. The subsidies will only be effective for first-registered new vehicles for private use and for demonstration vehicles. In addition, the vehicle must have been purchased from an official authorized dealer in Ticino.

The application form is available on the website of the Canton of Ticino:
