Four out of five
Its systems meet all the requirements for the fourth of five levels of autonomous driving. This so-called "mind-off" level allows fully automated driving on roads approved for this purpose, such as freeways or expressways with median strips, or even in the city, without the driver having to keep a constant eye on the traffic situation.
Almost autonomous
According to the manufacturer, the vehicle can independently change lanes, take curves, overtake and handle stop-and-go traffic. To do this, it constantly communicates with its surroundings and other vehicles. Renault says it is already conducting road tests with the Symbioz Democar under real traffic conditions.
