The Renault Mégane eVision is equipped with the thinnest batteries available on the market.

On show for the first time was the electric Dacia Spring (AutoSprintCH reported). Three new hybrid vehicles also made their debut.

Luca de Meo: "We have fully exploited the potential of the new Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance platform. With the narrowest battery on the market, a body measuring just 4.21 meters in length with the space of a C-segment vehicle, the Mégane eVision is a masterpiece. The eVision reinterprets this model series. It will be followed by a generation of innovative electric vehicles."

Outlook for compact electric vehicles
The eVision study is a preview of a new electric compact vehicle. It is set to set new standards in terms of drive, battery and charging technology in 2021.

A battery capacity of 60 kWh, the power of 160 kW (217 hp) and the fast charging capability with direct current, should offer large action radii. The design combines the elements of an SUV and those of a hatchback.

The Renault Mégane comes with revised design and E-Tech plug-in hybrid drive.

Three more hybrid models on offer
Following the market launch of the three electrified e-tech models Captur Plug-in Hybrid, Mégane Grandtour Plug-in Hybrid and Clio Hybrid, which will begin in these weeks, Renault will add three more hybrid models to its range.

These include the Arkana SUV coupé and the Captur crossover, which will be available in the E-Tech 140 hybrid version next year. In addition, the Mégane five-door E-Tech Plug-in 160 complements the hybrid range.

Renault
Renault has purely electric or electrified models for every requirement in its range.
