Car technology
Switzerland's first Autotechnik Days will take place in February in the halls of the Lucerne Exhibition Center.

The reason: From 2020, there will no longer be an aftermarket trade show in Hall 7 of the Auto Salon.

Marcel Stocker, Head of Automotive at Hostettler Autotechnik AG: "We'd had a concept for our own event in mind for some time. But a presence at the Geneva Motor Show and additionally something of our own is not possible."

Unlike classic in-house trade fairs
This problem has now solved itself. That is why the decision was made in the summer to launch the Autotechnik Days. The event has thus been deliberately designed as a forum that offers visitors a broad mix of topics and information formats. In this way, Hostettler deliberately sets itself apart from the classic in-house trade shows.

Marcel Stocker: "We don't want exhibitors to simply set up their booth and present their company or focus everything on sales. Instead, we want visitors to get to know current topics in a practical way and to experience products." In short, there are no booths in the classic sense, but there are exhibits, seminars, training sessions and workshops.

Various topics in the program
The Auto Technology Days cover around 60 different topics, which are bundled into theme worlds such as "Workshop Equipment". These include, for example, the maintenance and repair of air suspension systems, the function and use of e-turbos, and work on the 48-volt electrical system.

But also commercial topics such as the use of electronic maintenance booklets, online presences or the management of the workshop by means of key figures are on the program. Garage owners, suppliers, experts and the industry are given a platform to transfer their knowledge.

Presentations and panel discussions
Swiss car visionary Frank Rinderknecht, founder of Rinspeed, will make an appearance, as will racing driver Marcel Fässler or professional world champion Flavio Helfenstein. In addition to the consumption of information, however, personal exchange with industry colleagues and the employees of Hostettler Autotechnik AG will not be neglected. There will be a meeting zone for this purpose.
