Green Class: Initiative of SBB and BWM

The SBB Green Class provides the general season ticket, an all-electric BMW i3 and other mobility services. Following completion of the test phase for 138 mobility pioneers launched in spring 2017, BMW Group Switzerland is now also making BMW i3s available for the new mobility service.

Use of different means of transport increased
The results of a study now published show how comprehensively mobility behavior is changing as a result of this offer and how positively it is affecting the environment. The scientists at ETH Zurich found that the willingness to combine several sustainable modes of transport for a trip increased significantly over the course of the test phase.

Satisfaction among the 70 percent of customers
The pilot project achieved a high level of customer satisfaction with 8.3 out of 10 points. Around 70 percent of pilot customers have since extended their mobility combi for another year. Based on this response and the high demand from other potential customers, the new mobility combi was developed.

All-round carefree service for every user
The new offers differ, among other things, in the general season ticket for 1st class (Premium) and 2nd class (Comfort). Parking in P+Rail spaces at the station and subscriptions to the Mobility car-sharing service and the Publibike bike-sharing service are included in both offers. SBB Green Class Premium also includes cab vouchers.

Complete packages for the cars are included
For carefree electric mobility in the BMW i3 at all times, the two complete packages also include, among other things, vehicle taxes, comprehensive insurance, a set of winter wheels including exchange service and storage, as well as all maintenance and service expenses during the contract term. In addition, the vignette for the use of Swiss freeways is included. Interested parties can now apply online for the new mobility station wagon.
