The front of the LC Convertible Concept clearly shows the design language of the Japanese brand.

The results will now be unveiled with the world premiere of the Lexus LC Convertible Concept at the 2019 North American International Auto Show (goes to Jan. 27) in Detroit.

An ultimate beauty on wheels
The design goal of the Convertible Concept, created from the LC Coupe, is to express "ultimate beauty" (quote Tadao Mori, chief designer of the LC Convertible Concept). From the windshield to the smooth contours of the convertible top, the concept was designed to evoke an emotional response regardless of the angle of view.
Long, flat and slim, the LC Convertible Concept retains the athletic proportions of the LC Coupe. The design has naturally evolved from the coupe, yet shows its own identity. It is a combination of Japanese aesthetics and a driving experience that only a convertible can offer.

Meeting all needs
In addition to its visual appearance, the LC Convertible Concept attracts drivers and passengers alike with an interior that caters to their every need. From the comfort of the seats to the feel of every switch and button, every detail in the LC has been developed to make every ride memorable.

The senses should be addressed
Tadao Mori: "A production version of this concept would be exciting in many ways. People would see the dynamic lines as the vehicle approaches, hear the engine when it starts, and feel everything around them when they are on the road. It would engage all the senses uniquely and excitingly once behind the wheel." When will reality follow the vision?
