Cupra: Heading for the high seas in October 🎥

AMERICA'S CUP One of the global partners of the 37th America's Cup is Cupra. The brand is presenting the Terramar SUV as the official vehicle of the competition. The regatta will be held in Barcelona, the home of Cupra.

 

The America's Cup on October 11 and 12, 2024 is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. The oldest sailing regatta still held today will take place between August and October 2024 - with Barcelona as the venue for the first time. The new partner is car manufacturer Cupra, which presented the Cupra Cube at the start of the new partnership in Barcelona's beach district.

This was created as a countdown timer in collaboration with Omega, the official timekeeper of the Cup. The countdown to zero not only marks the start of the sailing regatta, it also shows the production-ready Cupra Terramar (see gallery).

Emotional and sporty

Cupra CEO Wayne Griffiths believes that Barcelona is the ideal place to host the Cup: "As a sporting and emotional brand, we are proud to sponsor major international events such as the America's Cup. As a global partner, Cupra will be present throughout the event. This also applies to the fan zone in the Race Village, where the brand wants to get in touch with sailing fans, residents of Barcelona and visitors from all over the world.

Special classification for women

In 2024, the Puig Women's America's Cup will also be held for the first time in the history of the competition. Here, female sailors from all over the world can put their skills to the test. In addition, the Youth America's Cup offers participants under the age of 25 the opportunity to showcase their skills.
