Once again, around 1000 interested parties and guests travelled to Interlaken for the AGM, where they were welcomed by outgoing President Dr. Martin Plüss. He urgently called for a reduction in bureaucracy in our country: "It can't be right that you have to submit 15 copies of a planning application! In my opinion, there is a need for action here."
Charles Blättler, Chairman of the ESA Executive Board, spoke about ESA's pleasing financial situation, which was maintained at the previous year's level despite major problems (euro). Despite various price reductions, total sales reached a new record of CHF 334.4 million.

Positive development in all business divisions
ESA also recorded a very positive development in most business areas. At the end of last year, ESA employed more than 500 people - including around 60 apprentices in four different professions. Charles Blättler: "We will continue to pursue our forward strategy in the 2016 financial year. Further services will be improved and optimized." The meeting approved all of the Board of Directors' proposals, approved the financial statements and was able to take note of a pleasing return of 2.5 % on the cooperative's capital. Ivo Musch (Altdorf) and Tobias Zollikofer (St. Gallen) were newly elected to the Board of Directors.
