Is looking for at least 70 additional professionals in the automotive industry: Christoph Ernst, Director Aftersales BMW/Mini, at the BMW training center in Dielsdorf.

The need for individual mobility in Switzerland continues unabated. For the first time, there are more than six million motor vehicles on our roads - and the number is increasing. Men and women who work in the automotive industry are therefore in demand.

Good staff in demand
More and more professionals are needed to maintain the growing vehicle fleet. The BMW Group Switzerland is now taking a new approach to finding suitable personnel. With the "Mechanic 70+" campaign, the BMW and Mini dealership organization is specifically looking for at least 70 automotive mechatronics technicians, automotive specialists and coachbuilders.

Additional measure
The BMW Group had already taken other measures beforehand; after all, the growth of the vehicle fleet did not start overnight. In order to increase efficiency, work processes in the plants were optimized and new working time models were created for existing staff. In the "4-day week" model, four days are worked slightly longer and the fifth day is then free.

Attractive offers
With the new working time models, various further training opportunities and the offer to work at a dealer in another part of the country, BMW is trying to solve another problem in the industry - the exodus of apprentices after the qualification process.
