Towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons
In all three body styles (Single Cab, Extra Cab and Double Cab) with all-wheel drive, the Hilux now offers a one-ton payload and up to 3.5 tons of towing capacity.
A 2.8-liter diesel engine with 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque is new. The unit is available in conjunction with a six-speed automatic transmission and is offered with all-wheel drive as standard.
Changes inside and outside
The front end of the pickup has been redesigned: A three-dimensional radiator grille and the wide bumpers ensure a powerful appearance. The LED units for the front and rear and the black 18-inch alloy wheels have been further upgraded.
Inside, the instrument cluster and the 8-inch infotainment display provide the driver with information. Mechanical buttons and controls ensure optimum operation under all driving conditions.
The multimedia system has also been improved. It now responds faster to inputs and allows smartphone integration via Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Sound system with nine boxes
The equipment list includes a keyless entry and start system, a navigation system, automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and a sound system with nine speakers, eight-channel amplifier with 800 watts and Clarifi technology.
Options also include a resin sports bar with an electrically operated aluminum cargo area cover, a lockable tailgate, a hardtop, and a 12-volt power outlet on the cargo area.
Prices and equipment for Switzerland have not yet been determined.
