The Corsa-e differs from the conventionally powered versions only by the lack of exhaust and the aerodynamically optimized wheels. The digital instruments in the interior also indicate the locally emission-free drive.

Dynamic start at traffic lights
The Opel engineers chose a 100 kW (equivalent to 136 hp) electric motor for the drive, which accelerates the small car weighing just under 1.5 tons to a maximum of 150 km/h and demonstrates its dynamic performance right from the start thanks to its torque of 260 Newton meters. The Corsa-e leaves its more powerful rivals standing, especially at the start of a traffic light, causing astonished expressions. It takes just 2.8 seconds from zero to 50 km/h.

Warranty over 160,000 kilometers
However, it is not necessarily advisable to show this feature too often. Because then the range, which is supposed to be 337 kilometers, suffers. In reality, this is reduced to 220 to 250 kilometers.

This value can be optimized thanks to the recuperation options, i.e. energy recovery during deceleration. The developers have placed a 50 kWh battery in the floor of the car, which can be charged to 80 percent in half an hour using fast charging.

If required, the Opel dealer can arrange the optimum technical solutions for the customer for the standard charging options. The battery is guaranteed for six years or 160,000 kilometers.

Corsa-e
The domain of the electric Corsa is the city, and this is where its maneuverability really comes into its own.

Quiet and agile in the city
Once on the move, the Corsa-e is a quiet performer and spares the driver and passengers from annoying rolling noises. The pleasantly tuned suspension absorbs the deficits of the infrastructure, and only short bumps are noticeable. The domain of the electric Corsa is the city, and here the maneuverability of the 4.06-meter small car makes a positive impact.

Various subsidies
The Corsa-e costs 34,990 francs in the basic Edition version, which is already well equipped (including automatic air conditioning), while the Elégance version starts at 36,990 francs. The prices are reduced by the various cantonal and municipal subsidies. The garage owner will tell you what you need to do to qualify for a subsidy.
