The NSX was developed specifically to add a "New Sports eXperience" to the supercar segment. It throws out all the old ideas about supercars - just like the first generation NSX a quarter of a century ago. At the heart of the bolide is a new twin-turbo mid-engine V6 mated to Honda's specially developed 9-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Electric motors transfer torque directly to the crankshaft for greater power, with immediate power delivery to the rear wheels. No fewer than four engines power the NSX: The mid-engine V6 biturbo and three electric motors on the front and rear axles. All in all, the quartet produces 581 hp.
