Seven-seater Explorer plug-in hybrid with 450 hp
From the autumn, the 5.05-meter-long Explorer with its striking looks and up to seven seats will be competing against the European premium models Range Rover, Audi Q7 and Co. Into the race. Only in Europe is Ford offering its flagship SUV as a plug-in hybrid with a system output of 450 hp and a maximum torque of 840 Nm. The purely electric range is 40 kilometers. The basic version of the all-wheel drive vehicle will cost less than 100,000 Swiss francs.

Kuga comes in three electric versions
The Kuga is completely new for the new model year. The SUV is powered by turbo engines with 120 to 190 hp, plus all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission as well as three electric versions.
The 150 hp diesel is supported by a mild hybrid. The launch of the 225 hp plug-in hybrid, which is designed to drive up to 50 kilometers purely electrically, is not planned until next year. The PEHV Kuga consumes just 1.2 liters per 100 kilometers with 29 g/km.
The Puma is also celebrating its comeback at the beginning of 2020. Not as a sports coupé, as it was built until 2001, but as a crossover with up to 155 hp based on the Fiesta. Three hybrid versions are planned for the Kuga: Mild hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid (AutoSprintCH reported)...

Electrification of light commercial vehicles
With the Mach E electric crossover, Ford wants to compete against the Tesla Model X, Audi e-tron and the Jaguar I-Pace. Inspired by the iconic Ford Mustang, the Mach E is expected to have a range of up to 600 kilometers.
The traditional brand sees great potential in the electrification of its light commercial vehicles. The change in the drivetrain should not be at the expense of practicality. The Tourneo Custom and the Transit Custom are being planned as plug-in hybrids as well as a fully electric Transit concept car.
