The deployment of four Toyota GT86s at the Reitnau hill climb in 2016 gave a foretaste of the project to promote young talent in Swiss hill climb racing. In the Swiss Race Academy, drivers no older than 28 are trained and prepared for their racing assignments with all-round support. Eight identical Toyota GT86s are available for this purpose.
The application to hold a Junior-SM in a separate class is at ASS for review. The model is the Junior Rallye-SM, in which R2 cars are used. The Toyota GT86 of the Swiss Race Academy comply with the technical regulations of the SuperSeries and LOC2. The initiators are Hans Schori, Swiss mountain champion 2011 and operator of the Eventcenter Seelisberg, and his son Yves Meyer, who as an instructor is also responsible for the training courses and marketing.
What drove them to this project and further background information can be found in the current print edition of AutoSprintCH. From next week, this will be available free of charge at garages with the AGVS logo for immediate reading or to take away. November can be downloaded from the website www.autosprint.ch to have.

Two cool guys show how it works in the video
Without reference to the Swiss Race Academy and this project, Yves Meyer and Hans Schori appear in an original and professionally shot video that can be viewed on Youtube (Keyword "Fondue drift) can be seen. In it, Yves Meyer - who is a multiple Swiss and international champion in Time Attack and Drift Masters - demonstrates his driving skills at the wheel of a Lexus GT. He will only teach this to his students on special request, but shows that, like his father, he knows how to handle the steering wheel of racing cars and appreciate culinary delights.
