After a successful debut season in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup (three pole positions and victory at Silverstone), R-Motorsport will also compete in the Sprint Championship next season. This will be called Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe from 2019 and will also comprise five race events.

Two new Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT3 cars will be fielded in each of the two championships. At the season's highlight, the 24 Hours of Spa, the Swiss team will field a third car.

Ten drivers for three cars
As in 2019, Marvin Kirchhöfer (D), Matthieu Vaxivière (F), Jake Dennis (GB) and Maxime Martin (B) lead the squad. They are joined by Ricky Collard (GB), Matt Parry (GB), Alex Lynn (GB), Aaro Vainio (FIN), Ferdinand Habsburg (A) and Hugo de Sadeleer as the first Swiss ever.

After successes in Formula Renault, the 21-year-old Lausanne native switched to the LMP2 category three years ago. In 2017, De Sadeleer was runner-up in the European Le Mans Series with two overall victories. Last year at Le Mans he advanced from fifth to third place in LMP2 as one of three United Autosport drivers following the disqualification of two class rivals.

Career highlight: Hugo de Sadeleer only received the trophy for the podium at Le Mans in the LMP2 class in late fall 2018.

Start in Silver Cup
De Sadeleer will race for the Silver Cup in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe with Aaro Vainio in 2019. The 2018 champion in this category for Silver-rated drivers was Emil Frey Jaguar Racing with Adrian Zaugg, Alex Fontana and Mikael Grenier.

At the Spa 24 Hours, the Swiss will share the third car with Collard and Habsburg. In addition, De Sadeleer will also compete in the ADAC GT Masters with Frenchman Valentin Hasse-Clot, who comes from the French Carrera Cup, in an Aston Martin from PROsport Performance.
