As in real races, it is always a race against time to publish this yearbook on time, said author Peter Wyss in his introduction. The final decisions in various championships were only made towards the end of November. Only Nico Rosberg's retirement was two days too late, otherwise even this news would have found its way into the 33rd edition of the popular Swiss motorsport yearbook.
The initiator of this book series was Stefan Lüscher in 1984, who had to step down for health reasons and leave the editorial management to his long-time colleague and yearbook contributor Peter Wyss. Together with a team of renowned authors such as Vanessa Georgoulas (Formula 1), Jürg Kaufmann (Rally), Werner J. Haller (MotoGP), Markus Lehner (Kart and Motorcycle) and Daniel Reinhard (Historic), he analytically reviews the past season of Swiss racing drivers at home and abroad in the 2016 yearbook.

A reference book with all the results
Thanks to its comprehensive statistics section with championship tables of all national automobile championships and cups as well as the complete results of all rallies, slaloms, hill climbs and circuit races (Porsche Cup Suisse and Renault Classic Cup), it is also an important reference work. All the final results of the Swiss karting and motorcycle championships are also included. The Swiss Racing Yearbook 2016 has been published by Aktiv Verlag in Stans since 1995 and makes an ideal Christmas present for racing fans.
