Motorsport: Kurt secured a double victory

Two races in Brno (CZ) marked the end of the circuit season for the Swiss Formula 3 drivers taking part in the international Remus Cup. The Swiss Formula 3 privateer drivers had to travel all the way to the Czech Republic to compete for points in the international Remus Cup for the last time in 2016. Suddenly, it was not Sandro Zeller who set the tone, but Paolo Brajnik. The Italian won both 25-minute races in his Dallara F308-VW, a feat that Zeller had already achieved in four of the seven events this year. The Zurich-based driver had already been crowned champion. In the first race, the son of Swiss multi-champion Jo Zeller completely fluffed the start and then had to settle for an unaccustomed tenth place in the field of 30 racing cars from various formulas. In the second race, he remained hot on Brajnik's heels in second place with his Dallara F308-Mercedes until the finish.

Kurt Böhlen conquered the podium twice in the final
Kurt Böhlen was the only one of the three regularly competing Swiss drivers to take part in all the races in a Dallara F308 Opel. It paid off for the Bernese driver that he also competed at the Lausitzring in the summer, where he took his first victory over the entire competition. Böhlen finished third on the podium in both races in Brno, securing second place overall in the championship by just four points ahead of Paolo Brajnik.

In the parallel Swiss Formula 3 Cup, Sandro Zeller emerges as the superior winner with eleven victories in twelve outings, ahead of Kurt Böhlen (two wins) and Marcel Tobler. The latter finished fourth in the Remus Cup after a fifth and sixth place in Brno.
