Joël Camathias: "KCMG is one of the top teams from LMP2 that is now also competing in the GT class. I'm sure we'll look good."

Marcel Fässler became a factory driver for Audi, Joël Camathias has since been involved in various GT series but has not really been able to build on that success. This year, their paths crossed again. While Marcel Fässler will tackle his seventh season as an Audi factory driver, Joël Camathias will return to the FIA World Endurance Championship after four years. As in 2012, the now 35-year-old from Ticino will be driving a Porsche 911 RSR, but this time for KCMG from Hong Kong. With Porsche works driver Wolf Henzler and Christian Ried, Camathias will have two equally experienced teammates from Germany.

The trio competes in the LM-GTE Am category, where two of the three drivers must be classified bronze or silver (only Wolf Henzler is considered a professional) and no new cars may be entered. In 2015, there were four different winning teams here in the eight races.
