Motorsport: Cairoli once again untouchable
After just two races in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, one thing is clear: Team Fach Auto Tech is the big favorite to win the title in the world's most popular one-make cup. At the guest race in Monaco, Matteo Cairoli triumphed with flying colors and secured his second victory. "It's just fantastic to see the cool head Matteo put the car into the [...]

"It's simply fantastic with what a cool head Matteo brought the car to the finish. We are absolutely happy with this result," said team boss Alex Fach, delighted with the performance of his protégé Cairoli. In rainy conditions, the 19-year-old converted pole position into the lead and did not relinquish it again until the end of the race.
Team-mate Philipp Frommenwiler, on the other hand, had a much tougher time. After a slip in qualifying, the driver from Kreuzlingen had to start the race from twelfth place on the grid. "At no other race track does a poor qualifying result have such a bitter effect as in Monaco," explained Frommenwiler.

The Fach Auto Tech driver tried to make the best of his situation and exerted pressure on his front men for the entire duration. An overconfident move by his rival Sven Müller just before the end put an early end to Frommenwiler's chase. But the motorsport racer was lucky: Race control subsequently abandoned the race, which is why the 26-year-old was still able to secure six championship points.
After two of ten races, Fach Auto Tech leads the championship in both the team and driver standings. Jeffrey Schmidt is sixth in the standings after seventh place in Monaco.
