It has the same high-torque and powerful drive as its sister models, the California, Eldorado and MGX-21, but not a millimetre of chrome detracts from the design; the engine and even the arm-thick exhaust manifolds and the short silencers are anodized black. A wide 200 mm tire is mounted on the black alloy wheels at the rear and a 130 mm tire at the front. New styling features for the 2017 model year include the red cylinder heads, as on the new MGX-21, the carbon-framed tank flanks and the carbon front mudguard. The metallic radiator grille and the aluminum silencer ends are also new. The seating position has been made even more comfortable thanks to the dragbar handlebars being moved further back and lower, while the handlebar controls including cruise control are also new. The ride-by-wire (electronic engine control via throttle grip) has been optimized.
