Throughout the season, the team continued its upward trend. But the squad from Safenwil saved the best for the final race weekend at the Nürburgring. With great fighting spirit and a flawless performance, Fredy Barth, Gabriele Gardel and Lorenz Frey prevailed over the strong competition in the Emil Frey GT3 Jaguar. At the end of the three-hour race, they saw the checkered flag as winners of the PRO-AM class.
Heartbeat final in the last round
Particularly in the final laps, everyone's breath was taken away once again. In a riveting duel, Fredy Barth prevailed against the Ferrari from AF Corse. At the finish, only a few fractions of a second separated the Swiss from the runner-up.
"The entire team is so deserving of this success," said Lorenz Frey, deeply moved. "Jaguar is such a great brand. Now to take the first significant class win in the Blancpain Endurance Series with an in-house developed car is just awesome."
Incidentally, Lorenz Frey demonstrated his singing qualities on the festive occasion. For the matching video just click here!
