With his 12th victory of the season, MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez concluded his strongest year to date in Valencia. However, the top spot on the podium will also go down in history as a year of superlatives for Honda: The Repsol Honda Team achieved the hat-trick and, after winning the riders' and constructors' titles, also secured the team championship.
Third F1 GP win for Max Verstappen, first F1 podium for Pierre Gasly
While the corks were already popping in Valencia, Honda wrote the next chapter in a great motorsport story at the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix. Max Verstappen secured the Red Bull Honda Racing Team's third victory of the season with a race that brought back the greatest days of motorsport to the legendary Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo.
Pierre Gasly took the second crown for Honda this weekend with his surprising second place. With his first podium in Formula 1, the young Frenchman scored valuable points for the Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda team.

The results in the premier classes show just how much this DNA has grown over 60 years of racing. This year at Le Mans, Honda was the first manufacturer to reach the 300-win mark in the top class of motorcycle racing.
In the premier class of motor racing, Honda Racing stands for five drivers' world championship titles (Nelson Piquet 1987, Ayrton Senna 1988, Alain Prost 1989, Ayrton Senna 1990 and 1991), six constructors' world championship titles (Williams-Honda 1986 and 1987, McLaren-Honda 1988 to 1991) and 73 Grand Prix victories, including the most recent one last weekend.
