For the past five years, AMAG has sponsored the Family Business Award, which recognizes a Swiss family business with special entrepreneurial and social commitment. The award is intended to show how valuable they are in the Swiss economy, as around 90 percent of all companies in Switzerland are family businesses. So far, the prize has been awarded to the following family businesses: Trisa AG (2012), SIGA Holding AG (2013), Entreprises et Domaines Rouvinez (2014) and Wyon AG (2015).

Once again this year, over 80 companies were interested in taking part. These companies impressed the jury with the long-term orientation of their corporate strategy and their focus on an economically, ecologically and socially sustainable corporate culture and were nominated as finalists: Blumer-Lehmann AG Gossau, FRAISA SA Bellach and Groupe Volet SA Saint-Légier. The winning company is selected by a nine-member jury made up of experienced, highly qualified personalities. The panel of experts is chaired by Pascale Bruderer Wyss, Member of the Council of States.
