Bugatti: This is the most beautiful of the fastest

At the 36th Festival Automobile International in Paris, a jury of renowned designers and industry experts awarded the Bugatti Bolide experimental vehicle the victory in the Hypercars category - with a clear lead over the four other finalists.

With the Bolide, engineers and designers developed an extreme, race track-oriented concept car. The Bugatti team developed a lightweight monocoque around the 8-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers.

Aerodynamics almost like an F1 car
The design of the Bolide is determined by numerous air ducts and a filigree front design, so that the Bolide looks more like an aerodynamically optimized Formula 1 race car than a hyper sports car. To this end, the car ducks low to the road. In combination with the large rear diffuser, the rear wing provides enormous downforce.

Design, aerodynamics, quality and safety
The new hypercar will be brought from experimental concept to production readiness over the next three years. Optimizations in the areas of design, aerodynamics, quality and safety will result in a curb weight of just 1450 kilograms and thus a power-to-weight ratio of 0.9 kilograms per horsepower.

Minimum distraction and maximum visibility

Frank Heyl, Bugatti's deputy design director, says, "The interior of the Bolide has a clear Bugatti identity without the luxury of a road-going hyper sports car. The design focuses on creating a place with minimal distraction and maximum visibility."

The start of production and deliveries of the first vehicles of the small series limited to 40 units will begin from 2024. The net price is from four million euros.
