The manufacturer has combined changes to the design at the front and rear with extended assistance systems and new comfort features, such as steering wheel heating and a head-up display. Added to this is the G-Vectoring Control system for more handling precision and driving dynamics. In terms of equipment lines, customers can choose between Challenge, Ambition, Ambition Plus and Revolution. The driver's cab, which is set far back, and the Kodo family face have remained the same.

The interior concept combines spaciousness and comfort. Higher-quality materials are used in the interior. This applies to the door handle surrounds, the switch surfaces in the doors and the overall softer feel of the materials used. From the Ambition Plus trim level upwards, the head-up display is included as standard. It now also shows information from the new traffic sign recognition system in the driver's direct field of vision. The Skyactiv-D diesel engines with 105 or 150 hp are available. Direct-injection Skyactive-G petrol engines with 100, 120 or 165 hp are available.
The new model year also meets high demands
First impression after an initial test drive: the Mazda3 has benefited from some fine-tuning. The materials and workmanship also meet high standards, the seats provide optimum body support on all sides when cornering at high speeds, the engine is barely audible, and wind noise is certainly absent. All in all, the Mazda3 remains a strong performer.
