The hunt for championship points begins this weekend for two of the most successful Swiss racing drivers of the moment. Marcel Fässler now drives for the Belgian Audi Team WRT in the Blancpain GT Series, while Stefano Comini continues in the TCR with a new team and a new car.

The 2017 autobau Swiss Karting Championship kicks off in Italy on April 1-2, with almost 100 drivers competing in the five classes at the start of the season. The first Swiss race on the calendar is the one-day event on April 29 in Wohlen.

FORMULA 1 Ferrari not only won the first Grand Prix of the year, but were also delighted with the good GP debut of their reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi at Sauber. He pulled the chestnuts out of the fire for the Swiss team with 12th place. Now Sauber has a luxury problem.

MOTORSPORT In four weeks' time, the Frauenfeld Auto Racing Days will attract many spectators to the first slalom championship race. Markus Bosshard will make his debut in a Reynard F3000 at this popular race. Unfortunately, Thomas Amweg does not yet have the budget to switch to the F3000 class.
