The Maserati GranCabrio is a genuine four-seater for traveling with family or friends, in which all passengers can enjoy the impressive performance and exclusive luxury with high-quality materials and enjoy the freedom of limitless journeys.
Driving performance
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore impresses with a top speed of 290 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. The convertible owes this performance to its three 300 kW permanent magnet motors, which together deliver a maximum output of 761 hp and a maximum torque of 1350 Nm.
The Trofeo version, on the other hand, offers a top speed of 316 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. In contrast to the Nettuno engine of the MC20 with dry sump lubrication, the six-cylinder engine of the GranCabrio has wet sump lubrication and cylinder deactivation. Under certain operating conditions, the right cylinder bank is deactivated while the valve train remains in the idle position thanks to a retractable tappet system.
Lots of power with weight
Both models rely on lightweight materials such as aluminum and high-performance steel. The Folgore achieves a weight distribution of 50:50, while the Trofeo boasts a distribution of 48:52. Thanks to the impressive performance, the weight (1895 kg for the Trofeo and 2340 kg for the Folgore) is barely noticeable during normal driving.
Suspension and steering
The double wishbone suspension on the front axle with adaptive dampers ensures precise handling and exceptional ride comfort on both models. This advanced technology enables a responsive and stable driving style even in demanding conditions.
Drive and differential
The Folgore's AWD system is equipped with torque vectoring, which improves traction and agility. The Trofeo has an electronically controlled limited slip differential (LSD), which enables precise distribution of torque to the individual wheels.
Conclusion
The Maserati GranCabrio combines luxury, performance and advanced technology in a stunning convertible. The Folgore variant impresses with its all-electric performance, while the Trofeo impresses with its V6 engine and raw power. Both models offer an incomparable driving experience, whether on the highway or on winding country roads. The 15-inch wheels, which are standard on the 65 hp versions, emphasize the powerful impression of the vehicle.
Interior
Dacia has also made significant improvements to the interior of the new Spring. The dashboard has been redesigned and now offers a digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch display in all versions. Driving performance and engines
The new Spring offers two engine options: a 45 hp engine for the Essential and Expression versions and a more powerful 65 hp engine for the Expression and Extreme versions. Thanks to the low weight of max. 984 kilograms, there is always enough power available, so the Spring can sprint from 0-50 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The new B-mode for a stronger regenerative braking strategy further optimizes the range.

A 7 kW AC charger comes as standard, which fully charges the battery in less than 11 hours from a domestic socket or in just 4 hours from a 7 kW wallbox. A 30 kW DC charger is available as an option, which enables fast charging from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes.
Security
The safety features of the new Spring have also been expanded. The new ADAS systems include an active emergency braking assistant, traffic sign recognition with speed warning and a lane departure warning system. These functions help to increase safety in everyday use.
Market launch and success in Switzerland
The Dacia Spring will be available from Dacia dealers in Switzerland from October 2024. It is already proving to be a great success: 158 units had been sold by May 2024 and sales figures are rising steadily. The Spring is number one in the A-segment of electric vehicles in the retail market and number two in the overall market. These figures speak for the great interest and potential of the Dacia Spring on the Swiss market.
The new Dacia Spring remains true to its philosophy of offering affordable and efficient electric mobility. With its new design, improved interior, modern technology and enhanced safety features, it sets new standards in the affordable electric vehicle segment. The cantons of Schaffhausen, Ticino and Thurgau award an environmental bonus of CHF 2,000 for switching to an electric car. In Ticino, dealers participating in the incentive program can offer a further CHF 2,000 bonus, for example for the Essential variant from CHF 11,000.
The GTI Fan Festival in Wolfsburg from July 26 to 28, 2024 offered an unforgettable experience for all GTI and Volkswagen fans. With over 700 vehicles, celebrity guests and exciting activities, visitors experienced a true celebration of automotive culture.
Editorial - September 13, 2024
A legendary meeting
From July 26 to 28, the area around the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg was transformed into a GTI Fan City. Under the motto "Icons Coming Home", the international GTI community gathered for a big party. Well-known personalities such as Andreas Mindt, Benny Leuchter and Hans-Joachim Stuck shared their GTI anecdotes and offered insights into the history and future of the brand. Sarah Elsser and Philipp Kaess hosted the event and provided informative and entertaining moments.
With an impressive attendance of 15,000 visitors and over 700 GTI and R owners proudly presenting their vehicles, the festival was a special highlight of the year. Among the guests was the Swiss GTI community, which had traveled from Switzerland with all eight generations of the Golf GTI to celebrate the diversity and history of the GTI. As the GTI meetings at Lake Wörthersee had attracted up to 200,000 visitors in some cases since 1982, the municipality decided to cancel the event in 2023 after more than 40 years for sustainability reasons. In Wolfsburg, the meeting now took place for the first time under the new name GTI Fanfest.
The GTI Fan Festival in Wolfsburg offered a highlight for all GTI and Volkswagen fans with over 700 vehicles, prominent guests and numerous activities.
Activities for young and old
In addition to the vehicle presentations, there were numerous activities: sneaker customizing, food trucks, live music and much more. Children could look forward to a bungee trampoline, racing simulators and other exciting attractions. A special highlight was the large vehicle parade on Sunday, in which around 200 GTI and R models drove around the factory grounds. Volkswagen Motorsport and apprentices also presented specially modified show cars.
Insights into electromobility
Volkswagen also presented the sporty GTX variants of the ID. models and the ID. GTI concept car, which provided a glimpse of the brand's electric future. With over 700 vehicles, prominent guests and numerous activities, the GTI Fan Festival in Wolfsburg was a special highlight for all GTI and Volkswagen fans and will certainly be remembered for a long time to come.
Special moments and highlights
The fan festival also offered culinary delights such as the famous Volkswagen currywurst as well as DJ and live music, with singer-songwriter Michael Schulte rocking the stage on Saturday evening. For fashion and lifestyle fans, the new GTI collection was a highlight, as was the exclusive GTI sneaker, a special limited edition that was only available at the festival.
The appearance of influencer Jean Pierre Kraemer (JP Performance) with his "Thunder Bunny" and the presentation of the particularly spectacular models from Volkswagen Motorsport as well as vehicles modified by VW apprentices were further highlights of the festival. A mobile dynamometer in the community parking lot provided additional excitement.
The Swiss community
Particularly impressive was the participation of the Swiss GTI community, who drove around 800 kilometers to Wolfsburg on their own. Despite some technical challenges, such as repairing the oldest Golf GTI from 1976, the community was enthusiastic and is already planning to take part in the next fan festival.
Simon Feierabend, one of the Swiss participants, drew a positive balance: "The proximity to the factory is great. As far as the program is concerned, I particularly liked the racing cars and the studies." The Swiss delegation was unanimous: "We'll be back!"
With this successful start, the GTI Fan Festival in Wolfsburg not only won the hearts of the fans, but also set a new benchmark for future meetings.
