Rüsselsheim is venturing a new attempt in the electric vehicle category, bringing an attractive small car to dealers with the Opel Ampera-e. And it should be able to travel up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. At least according to the European driving cycle. Opel itself states that the Ampera-e has a range of more than 380 kilometers under realistic conditions. This means that the Opel Ampera-e (2017) still outperforms its competitors, in some cases significantly. Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann: "With the Ampera-e, Opel is launching an electric car that is one hundred percent suitable for everyday use." In fact, apart from the name, the new Ampera-e has nothing in common with the Opel Ampera of yesteryear.

There is plenty of room for five passengers with luggage
With a smaller format and greater range, the Opel Ampera-e is set to hit the road and finally put an end to the usual restrictions. Karl-Thomas Neumann: "Because the previous disadvantages, such as high prices and too short a range, are now finally a thing of the past." The Chevrolet Bolt, which already caused a sensation at the Las Vegas and Detroit motor shows in January, serves as the basis for the Ampera-e. At just over four meters in length, the Opel Ampera-e offers space for five passengers and a trunk volume of 381 liters - thanks to the compact design of the batteries in the underbody.
