Purchase of the vignette is also possible via the Internet
Since 2017, there has also been a digital vignette, which vehicle drivers can purchase online via the road operating company ASFINAG can order. The license plate number is recorded in the system, and the prices are the same as for the analog version. Payment can be made by credit card, Paypal or Sofortüberweisung. But beware: Since customers in Europe have the right to withdraw from any order within two weeks and a postal delivery time of three days is expected, the vignette is only valid from the 18th day after purchase. With direct purchase, the blocking period does not apply and the vignette is valid immediately.
