Every new vehicle in the family has a high-quality multi-layer paint finish that has been tested under the most extreme conditions and temperatures. For example, Nissan engineers have exposed the bodywork to 500 watts of UV light per square meter, which is more than ten times the UV radiation of natural sunlight. If sun cream with SPF 50 protects human skin, the Nissan paintwork therefore fulfills SPF 500. It is not only the paintwork that has to withstand UV light. All plastic parts, seat covers and adhesives undergo the same development process in order to be able to withstand extreme temperatures. Extreme radiation and temperatures are simulated in a test chamber.
