Ford: Welcome to the Store Münchenstein
The FordStore concept, which was officially introduced in Europe two years ago with the opening of the Edgware location in London, is now being implemented throughout Europe. Emil Frey AG has opened the first FordStore in German-speaking Switzerland in Münchenstein. In French-speaking Switzerland, the FordStore Lausanne (Garage Red Star SA) already started operations last year [...]

FordStore is an operation better adapted to the new decision-making processes of customers. This relates above all to customers' research on the Internet. Background: around 80 % of prospective customers first enquire on the Internet before going into a showroom; 62 % start the buying process on social networks. In the showroom, on the other hand, each product is shown off in its original form in the special themed area. These include the SUV area with EcoSport, Kuga and Edge; the performance area with Focus RS, Focus ST or Fiesta ST; the novelty area; the Max Family area for B-MAX, C-MAX, Grand C-Max and S-MAX; the Vignale Lounge for premium products and services; and a Transit Center area for commercial vehicles.

10 - 12 plants are planned for Switzerland
In particular, the opportunity to learn about Ford's technological innovations and explore the vehicle range is likely to attract interest. With the help of iPads, the personal configuration of a model can be created. The desired car then appears with an indication of the price. All this can be experienced independently or with the help of an advisor. The digital wall (Power Wall), consisting of nine 55-inch HD screens, makes a huge impression in the showroom. Ford launched 200 FordStores in Europe last year and plans to expand this network to 500 by the end of 2016. For Switzerland, 10 - 12 operations are planned.
